It was a very pleasant experience. All the staff at the front desk were very happy and helpful. It was a pleasure just talking with them, it felt like the type of shop from the past where the staff treat you more like a friend than just a customer giving them money. I dropped my truck of for a wheel alignment at the appointed time and much to my surprise and appreciation it was done at, if not slightly before the time that I was told. They performed the work that they were asked to at the price quoted and did not try to up sell me on needing work done, even though my truck has over three hundred thousand k on it. They did a front end inspection and gave the truck a (relatively) clean bill of health. They pointed out some small things but nothing that was critical or a safety hazard. Overall I loved the friendliness and professionalism shown by all that I dealt with at this company and will not hesitate to use them again. I would definitely recommend them.

Great experience at Cetus! My car needed an out-of-province inspection. Phoned in to book an appointment on Friday afternoon and was booked in first thing in the morning on Monday. The inspection was much cheaper than that at Canadian Tire, where they only do out-of-province inspections on Saturdays and were fully booked until the week after (went in for a quote on Wednesday). The staff at Cetus was nice, helpful, and had a good attitude. I wanted a ride to a nearby address after I dropped off my car, and she offered to give me a return ride. The inspection was done in about 1.5 hours, which was much faster than expected. Had to get my front brake rotors machined, which was also done on the same day in less than 3 hours. The total came in much less than the quote they gave us earlier, which was great news! And Tammy explained the paper work to us clearly, and we were good to go in a short time and had no problem at the Registries.

Cetus has changed the oil and done minor repairs on my car a number of times and I have always been pleased with the friendly, trustworthy service. They seem to genuinely want to help--if they don't have a part, they are get it in quickly. Thumbs up!

We have been using Cetus for a while now and have had great service and our vehicles are always ready when they say they will be. We have not had any issues and our vehicles run great. Would definitely recommend Cetus to any of my friends.

I have been taking my vehicles here for oil changes for a while now and I am very pleased with the service provided by Cetus. The only thing that could make this shop better is later hours and weekend service. Regardless of the hours, this is a professional shop and I would refer anyone looking for mechanical services to give it a shot.

I felt silly not knowing what was wrong with my vehicle, but as soon as I walked into Cetus, I immediately felt like my problem was taken care of with the friendly and assuring staff. Prior to visiting Cetus, I was ready to replace and purchase a new alternator (what I thought was the problem) but the mechanics at Cetus sure saved me that cost (turned out it was an oil leak, a problem I'm grateful to have unravelled before it got any worse). Even more impressive was the turnaround, and contrary to my experiences with previous mechanics who would nickel and dime my lack of knowledge, I felt the staff at Cetus did their best to make my visit work with my lower budget. I'd happily visit and trust the staff at Cetus for all my future repairs. Thanks, and Happy New Year!

Dodgy - my advice would be to get a second opinion or get one before you go there - we had an inspection which identified a range of supposed problems - these were latter discounted by another mechanic. Some of these problems were meant to include fluid leaks despite there been no evidence of fluid levels decreasing. The only reason I am giving them one star is because I cant give them zero.

COMPLETELY UPDATED REVIEW: Got an oil change to 'test the waters', as well as replacing an O2 sensor. The oil change was fine. The O2 sensor was supposed to be done, but they called back to say they needed to order in the exact Toyota part, which would cost about $200 more, and wouldn't be available for two days. (I don't know why they claim they needed the Toyota part, since it's made by Denso and used on half a dozen makes.) Figured that was one small strike, and wanted to give them a second chance. Next time, I booked an appointment and asked for a number of specific fluids to be replaced. I was told they would examine the fluids and decide if they needed replacing or not. When I arrived, they didn't even have a booking for me! Still, they took my car in. A few hours later, they phoned and said everything was fine except the power steering fluid, which would cost $175. I said go ahead. At the end of the day, when I picked up the car, they presented a bill for $40 more than they had quoted me on the phone. "the P/S uses ATF, and that costs more." Yes it does, but they should have known that beforehand. It makes me wonder if it really needed replacing at all, or if it was "dirty" because ATF is darker than P/S fluid. Also, my 'recommended service' sheet still shows that I need an O2 sensor and air filter, which means they didn't check either of those items. So they have: 1) messed up a scheduled repair 2) refused to do the work I asked for (specific fluid changes) 3) Lost an appointment booking 4) under-quoted (or overcharged?) for work 5) possibly did work that wasn't necessary (Toyota doesn't recommend flushing P/S at all) Also, my previous review was partly due to the fact that they offer your second oil change free if you post a positive review here. Are they paying for positive reviews? Kinda. The staff is very friendly and the place *feels* good to go into, but I just see too many things wrong, either accidental or deliberate. I guess I'll keep searching for a good shop.

Yay! Finally, a shop that gets the work done right and doesn't rip you off. I took my car to Cetus for some general maintenance and brake work and they were wonderful. The went over the entire car inspection with me and let me know what needed to be fixed, what ways they could fix it, and the price point for the different methods of repair. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly and I'm so glad that I have a great shop to take my car to from now on.
