What is cylinder boring?

If you're rebuilding an engine in Calgary, boring out the cylinders in your engine block may be required. This process starts by boring the cylinder to ensure the walls are no longer worn out or damaged. Then we either are enlarging the cylinder by boring it out, or adding a sleeve to bring it back to the necessary specifications. Using our specialized engine rebuilding equipment our expert machinists will get you bore back to it's original shine and have your pistons running with minimal friction and optimal compression in each cylinder. Loss of horsepower or loss of compression might indicate your cylinders are scratched or gouged and in that case, time to bore!
