Don't go here! I brought my car here because I had a warranty on parts from previous NAPA service. They were only suppose to check to see if it was the same problem. Well it ended up being a different problem. That wanted to charge me $300 to change a rotor. When I stated I would get it done else where. They charged me $70 just for looking at it. Including a fee for parts and hazardous materials. They never changed or repaired anything! There were no parts and no hazardous material used. When I asked them about this they said they didn't know what parts the bill reflected because they only handled billing! Well I never did find what these extra costs were. They wouldn't give my car back if I didn't pay. I went else where and they only charged $75 for the whole repair. Go else where. where they will be upfront and honest and not attach hidden costs. They even tried to guilt me in to a whole slew of Un-needed repairs. "Well you have little one" ya and my kids don't need there window to roll down in order to be safe. Low blow
Byron, our recollection of your visit here is somewhat different and because every story has two sides I would like to share our view. On November 25/15 you called and asked to get your brakes checked due to a rubbing noise. Informing us that the brakes were just replaced at a NAPA AUTOPRO in Drumheller AB. We were able to look at your vehicle the next day and we waited for you to arrive after closing and provided a Courtesy car at no cost. The next day we test drove the vehicle to confirm the cause of the rubbing noise. The sound was coming from the rear brakes that were replaced. We removed the brakes for inspection and found the problem was the rotors. They were corroded and very rusty. Machining the rotors would put them under safety specs so replacing the rotors was the only option. We checked the repair invoice from the other NAPA AUTOPRO and it was noted that the rotors needed to be replaced and you had declined to do it. The estimate that we gave you to service the brake pads (uneven wear) and replace both rotors was $288.00 plus taxes. We also performed a 30 point safety inspection that we do on all vehicles that come into the shop as a courtesy. We brought several concerns to your attention. No reverse lights, high mount brake light out. Drivers side mirror was broken and the window was inoperative. Oil leaks from the valve cover and oil cap. Cabin air filters are plugged. And 4 tires, (best tire had 7mm tread and the worst was 2mm tread left on it). When we helped you move your child seats from your vehicle into the courtesy car you indicated that you felt that the brakes were dangerous and you had children traveling with you often. We agreed that the brakes and the tires are not safe. Our inspection was free information for you. We provided you with a detailed estimate for you to know what your vehicle needed. Ultimately any decision made for repairs is yours. The brake problem was not a NAPA AUTOPRO warranty so we couldn’t charge it back to NAPA as you requested. As you declined the brake repairs we reassembled the brakes and charged you half an hour labor for the inspection and it included shop supplies and any hazard material disposal which is calculated to a percentage per billable hour. This includes but not limited to items like shop towels seat covers and floor mats etc.
